My hands were almost frozen, but it was worth it. It was a special sunset this evening, seen from the Ammerse Kade at Groot-Ammers, Alblasserwaard, The Netherlands.

Finally Winter!

Finally it’s winter in the Netherlands! Tuesday morning I went out early for some twilight shots in Polder de Biesbosch on the island of Dordrecht, the place where I live.

Made a documentary film about collector Ad Breevaart

The exhibition ‘Living in a collection, the curiosity cabinet of Ad Breevaart’ in museum ‘Huis van Gijn’ was officially opened this afternoon. On the occasion of his 80th birthday the most important artifacts from the rich collection of Breevaart can be seen untill June 10th, 2012.
For almost 50 years he collected ethnographic masks and statues, paintings, drawings, Steiff cuddly toys and special items. His house is full of them, as shown in the following documentary, which I recently made.
