Osprey news item filmed for RTV-Dordrecht
Europe’s largest bird of prey, the flying door, more than two meters wingspan, and he is here in the ‘Biesbosch National Park’; the Osprey. Three of them! This is special, because its the first time these birds are here in summer. Together with reporter Peter Tromp and ranger Thomas van der Es, we searched for them this afternoon. It became a nice walk along the ‘Hollandsch Diep’, but unfortunately… we didn’t see any raptors. However, Van der Es could tell wonderful about the birds.
Recent photo Dutch landscape
Last week I went to this place twice, the ‘Zwanenplaatweg’ in ‘polder the Biesbosch’ on the island of Dordrecht, but I was not happy with the results. I decided to go for a third try and than the light turned out to be quit well. Above the cornfield drove a beautiful sky, which was just grazed by the last rays of the evening. In addition Kinderdijk, Schoonhoven, Limburg and more. Below a few examples.

Following the video, now the first photos of the early ‘cruise’ through the Biesbosch on June 27, 2011 are ready. Simultaneously filming and photography is often difficult. I’d rather do it individually, but sometimes you can not escape, so besides the RTV Dordrecht camera I also brought my Canon (with which you can also record video, but in this case I took it only for photography). It was a beautiful morning, with rustic creeks, fine reflections and beavers! The photos of the trip can be seen in this weeks photo carousel on RTV-Dordrecht. Below a preview.

Andalusia photos added to ‘Portfolio’

Photos graveyards added to the ‘Image Library’

It was quiet, silent, deserted, neglected, overgrown. Only one cat. Witnessing a dying cemetery. ‘Huis te Vraag’ impressed me. A cemetery in busy Amsterdam, but I didn’t notice, nor those who were not there, except maybe the cat.
The editors of the magazine ‘Stadsleven’ sent me off for a special report on this cemetery and two other graveyards in Roermond and Zwolle. All gorgeous locations with their own story. The most memorable to me was ‘Huis te Vraag’, because of its atmosphere. It rained softly, that day, but there was a warm peace. The new green embraced the temporality and slowly hid the sadness of the end.
After publication, I was often asked if the photos were for sale. It took a long time, but I just added them to the ‘Image Bank’.
