Focus Magazine publishes one of my landscapes

Focus Photography magazine published one of my landscape photos of the Dolomites. You can see the photo below. I was standing just above Rifugio Locatelli overlooking the Tre Cime di Lavaredo (also called Drei Zinnen) at sunset. See a larger copy here.

Photo Workshop location; Lago del Mis

It was quiet, the wind kept its breath, no leaves and I was all alone, no one in sight, only a bird in the distance. Just complete rest, no twitter, no facebook, just me, the water and the mountains. Lago del Mis, one of the locations for the Photo Workshop next summer, but still shrouded in winter.

Presentation ‘How to make a Documentary’ at SGD

For the members of the SGD, the SmaI Film and Video Group Dordrecht, I’ll give a presentation ‘How to make a documentary’. It’s about holding the viewer’s attention and how to tell an interesting story. I will pay attention to the use of natural light on an interview setting, how to record a voice-over and how to edit the documentary. One of the short films I will show next week during the presentation is the video below:

This documentary was filmed with the Canon EOS 5D mark II.

Beautiful photo, taken from Photo Workshop location Lagazuoi

On the Lagazuoi facebook page, I came acros this wonderful image, made by Guido Pompanin. Lagazuoi is a mountain hut, where we will stay for one night during my Photo Workshop ‘Alps and Venice’ in June and September.
